I installed this "free" app about a month ago, nice enough, used it a couple of times. Today my account is debited for $1.99. One month free with auto billing and no warning isnt free and sooo wrong.

To Previous Reviewer: This app has never been free, theres a one time fee of 1.99. Theres no automatic billing. I have had this app for several years and never been charged for anything. I am pretty sure you mixed up this app with something else. Anyway, I have been using Advanced English Dictionary for years. It is the best there is, in my opinion. This dictionary has every word imaginable and I particularly like the etymology of the words.

I love this app. It is EXTREMELY useful. Two things I wish for it: I would like to be able to press on a word anywhere on my phone and have a pop up to define using this app. The Second fix is this: when I click search I wish it would NOT show the last word I looked up. It is too much work to move the thumb all the way to the top and click the X to clear the search field. Other than that, great app, totally worth the cost.

As a child I was taught to "look it up". I learned that my parents were not always going to give me the answer or guess the answer. Later guessing wasnt satisfactory to me either, so I bought my very own dictionary and thesaurus on campus. This dictionary is even more than I expected and a joy to search, even medical terms are defined. At 69 and disabled I spend even more time reading and studying. Word origins are an interest of mine and are included in this app. Get it.

Its excellent the best app you can ever get!!! I havent come across a word that this dictionary doesnt know.

While, for the most part, I like this Dictionary, it needs work! I have found many times it is missing common definitions. Particularly when a word has several meanings. I hope you will update the material it contains. Perhaps some streamlining could be done by listing the root word & showing the other tenses and prefix/suffixes in the definition space. The Thesaurus is sorely lacking on this APP... Also, it has bugs... Like sections of the Dictionary being repeated... (As in, I scroll down and large sections of what I have viewed start over again)

one would easily find how widely this app is developed with a simple comparison in the terms of vocabulary coverage. Update please.

The iOS 10 upgrade is great. Anyways, it is a very comprehensive dictionary in its own right. Contains an exhaustive collection of rare, obscure, uncommon, technical and sometimes funny words. Additionally, it is by far the most enjoyable dictionary to view. For some reason, this seems to make the whole experience of using this dictionary more pleasant.

An extensive help to communication.

Very, Very Useful. It provides expanded definitions, examples of how the word is used, synonyms, antonyms and the origins of a word. Its excellent and I use it daily while reading.

Great app helpful tool . Better if theres a built in thesaurus. I still give it 5 stars. Maybe it will be better next update and add thesaurus.

Top-notch dictionary, especially with recent updates with added features displaying grammar definitions and each word displayed within definition provided is hot-linked to its own definition; job well done! This App is worth every penny. Youll enjoy it! I use it often, almost daily.

Great. Wish it had landscape view.

I dont use this app too often, but Im sure glad its there. Perfect for exploring words for writing, meaning, or just curiosity.
